How to read the places
Marker shape is part of the evidence: 4,315 records have an exact point and draw as pins; 33 have an approximate location and draw as dots. A dot identifies the area, not a doorstep.
Categories overlap. 98 additional rows share an OpenStreetMap reference with a row in another category, usually where one place is both an attraction and a historic site. The figure 4,348 therefore counts classification records, not guaranteed unique destinations.
Details are sparse because the map only repeats what its sources publish: 209 records carry an address, 204 a phone number and 84 a website. Missing contact details mean unknown, not unavailable.
Sources and freshness
Attractions, historic sites, lodging, parks and reserves come from OpenStreetMap and Wikidata; thermal springs come from the ASAL Geoportal. The current snapshot dates from Jun 21, 2026. Open the source receipts in a place card to see who published it and how its position was obtained.
Official promotion portals are useful editorial references, but their listings are not copied into this dataset without a stable export and clear reuse terms. This keeps source authority and licensing visible instead of silently mixing catalogs.
