What GeoAlgeria measures, and how to opt out.

Analytics

GeoAlgeria uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which maps and pages are used, so it can be improved. It records anonymised, aggregate signals: pages viewed, approximate location (country or region, from your IP address, which we never store), device type, and how you arrived. It does not collect your name, email, or any account, and GeoAlgeria has no login.

The flights map counts airport filters, opened route cards and direction choices. The Bus lines map counts completed origin-and-destination searches, opened connections, retries and handoffs to MAHATATI. Other maps count Near me requests, facility search selections, exact-direction versus approximate-area actions, and opened correction forms. Events contain only bounded dataset, route, airport or station identifiers and precision classes, never search text, coordinates or personal information.

Opting out

Analytics loads automatically, but you can opt out at any time: block third-party scripts, install a content blocker, or use Google's official opt-out add-on. The site works exactly the same either way.

Cookies

The functional NEXT_LOCALE cookie remembers your chosen language (English, French, or Arabic) between visits and carries no tracking data. When analytics loads, Google Analytics may also set _ga and _ga_* cookies to distinguish browser sessions.
